[ARCHIVED] Two councilman sworn in.

Hollingsworth joins Hampton County Council after retiring last year from a career with Clemson University's Hampton Extension Office. He was sworn in by Hampton County Council's Clerk to Council Aline Newton while his wife Margaret held the Bible.

Haulsee, who is returning to his first full term on Council, was also sworn in by Aline Newton. He replaced ex-councilman Willard Wilson in a special election three years ago. Haulsee asked County Administrator Sabrena P. Graham to hold the Bible during his swearing-in ceremony.

Hollingsworth and Haulsee were both elected in a June primary that included three candidates. Neither faced opposition in the November General Election.

Council Chairman Hugh Gray was re-elected to that same position, while Charles "Buddy" Phillips was re-elected as Vice-Chairman of Council. Also reappointed to their positions were Clerk to Council Aline Newton as well as Administrator Sabrena P. Graham and County Attorney Algie Solomons.
