We are relying on the Lowcountry/Savannah area— its residents, local governments, community- and faith-based organizations, schools, media, businesses, and others — to help this effort succeed. As one of the locations selected for a census test, the Census Bureau is researching ways to encourage residents to respond online to a census questionnaire. Savannah and the surrounding counties have a special opportunity to gather around the table for research and testing that could save up to $5 billion in taxpayer dollars leading up to the 2020 Census. On Census Day, April 1, join us for a Thunderclap to help us spread the word on social media.
